Services for Bobby Jerrell Anderson will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Jerry Wilkerson and Rev. Jon Allen Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Monday, July 9, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.Mr. Anderson, 81, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, July 8, 2018. He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County and resident of Decatur, AL, for the past 18 years. He served in the U. S. Army in the Vietnam Era and later served in the Air National Guard. He worked 26 years for the Philadelphia Police Department and was later Chief Deputy for Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department. He was elected Justice Court Judge for one term in Neshoba County. Mr. Anderson was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church in Somerville, Al, and attended Herbert Baptist Church while living in Neshoba County.Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Elsie Anderson; sons, Rick (Jennifer) Anderson of Charleston, S. C.; Alan (Theresa) Anderson of Decatur, AL; daughter, Dianne (Roy) Barrett of Somerville, AL; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Sammy Anderson of Philadelphia; and sister, Dorothy Wilkerson of Philadelphia.Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by sisters, Beadie Mae Poole and Claudine Mabry; and brother, Arlie Anderson.
