Bobbie Jean Mowdy

Services for Ms. Bobbie Jean Mowdy will be held Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 3:00 pm at McClain-Hays Chapel. Interment will be in Bethsaida Cemetery. Rev. Billy James will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 31, 2023 at 10:00 am until service time. Ms. Bobbie Jean Mowdy, 69, of Philadelphia died on Friday, December 29, 2023. Ms. Bobbie was a native and lifelong resident of the Bethsaida Community of Neshoba County. She was a graduate of NCHS, ECCC with an associates degree then University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelors degree. She worked for Weyerhaeuser for several years then Brooks Manufacturing of Union and retired from Allied Enterprises. She loved spoiling her nieces and nephews and taking care of her animals. She was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church in Neshoba County. She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Mayo (Carl) of Philadelphia; brothers, Jimmy Mowdy (Toni) of Canton, James Mowdy (Judy) of Newton; nieces, Kim Johnson, Kristy Camp (Jason), Leah Harbour (Matt), Shannon Mowdy; nephews, Jeff Mayo, Jason Mayo, Justin Mowdy (Shiloh); great-nieces, Jaden Mayo, McKinley Johnson, Anna Leigh Mayo, Molly Camp; great-nephews, Logan Johnson, Briggs Camp; aunt, Linda Mowdy. She is also survived by a host of cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by parents, HM and Bertie Mae Mowdy; nephew, James Anthony Mayo.
