Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, July 10, 2023 from 6-8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays. Interment will be in Henry’s Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Mack Alford and Rev. Stacey Parvin will officiate. Bobbie Jaunice (Beason) Seal, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community, passed away on July 9. She was born on January 28, 1934, to William Lee Beason and Bertha Mae Bozeman in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Bobbie was dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of others. She was deeply involved in the 4-H program and served as a volunteer leader for many years. Later, she became a 4-H program associate with the MS State University Extension Service, dedicating seventeen years to supporting and nurturing the growth of young people and their families. Bobbie's passion for quilting led her to become the president of the Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild, where she shared her expertise and creativity with fellow enthusiasts. Additionally, she served as the president of the Neshoba County Library Board, working tirelessly to promote literacy and access to knowledge in her community. This was also apparent in her consistent engagement in reading to children at Head Start, as well as in the Library. Bobbie was a faithful member and treasurer of Henry's Chapel United Methodist Church, where her family and extended family had practiced their faith for many years. Bobbie completed her education at Philadelphia High School and East Central Community College. She valued education and sought to instill that same appreciation in those around her. Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her children, Sid Seal (Cindy Seal) and Susan Seal; granddaughters, Audrey Seal Pritchard (Tommy) and Emileigh Seal Williams (Brennan); great grandchildren, Winnie Pritchard, Eleanor Williams, and Gus Pritchard. Bobbie is also survived by her niece, Linda (Beason) Weir and Linda's, children Kyndall Weir and Camden (Weir) Odell (Cody). Her nephew, Mark William Beason (Sandi) and his daughter Adeline Beason will also cherish her memory. Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, William Lee Beason; her mother, Bertha Mae (Bozeman) Beason; her brother, Willie Tildon Beason, and her beloved husband, William Donald Seal. Pallbearers are Frank Altieri, Tommy Pritchard, Brennan Williams, Steve Beason, Lonnie Beason, and Harlan Jenkins as well as honorary pallbearers Lorell Beason and Mark Beason. The family would like to thank the staff of The Arrington and The Windsor in Columbus, MS who treated her as their mother, aunt, and friend. We are forever grateful for your kindness and love. Bobbie Seal will forever be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering dedication, and love for her family, community, and faith. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
