Bob William Burt

Services for Mr. Bob William Burt will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at McClain –Hays Chapel. Interment will be in the Sandtown Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Allen Herrington will officiate. Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, August 15, 2022 at McClain- Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Bob William Burt, 79, of Philadelphia died on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Mr. Bob was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He was retired from Fairbanks Scales in Meridian after 28 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to go fishing. He retired from the National Guard after 30 years and also served in the US Army. He was a member of Bond Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Burt of Philadelphia; son, William Woody Burt (Tina) of Selma, AL, step-son, William Jolly ( Barbara) of Meridian; step-daughter, Elizabeth Jolly of Meridian; grandchildren, Deanna Elizabeth Guadagno (Dane), Allie Chesnut (J.J.), David Clyde Jolly, Kenneth Shane Jolly, Nevaeh Marie Jolly, Jerry Clyde Jolly III; brother Floyd Burt (Jo) of Philadelphia; a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Elizabeth Burt, parents, J.B. and Bobbie Burt; sister, Dorothy Cumberland; brothers, Harold Burt and Jerry Burt.
