Billy Rose

A graveside service for Billy Rose will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. at Eastlawn Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Sparks officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rose, 52, of Meridian, died Saturday, August 15, 2020, at his home. Billy was a resident of Meridian, MS. He grew up in Philadelphia and graduated Philadelphia High School and attended Ole Miss. He worked as a financial advisor for Mass Mutual in Meridian. He attended Northcrest Baptist Church, and was a member of Meridian Lions Club. He loved golf, hunting, and fishing. Survivors include daughters, Hannah Rose of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Alyssa Rose of Meridian; stepdaughter, Lauren Parker of Meridian; grandson, Jaxson “Jack” Rose; parents, Jim and Annelle Rose of Olive Branch, MS; sister, Laurie Lorio of Charlotte, NC; two nieces, Anne Frances Lorio and Whitney Lorio; aunts, Barbara Rose and Ann Mills; and uncle, Al Whittington. Pallbearers are Benji Brown, Daniel Self, Mac Hodges, Franz Lorio, Jim Rose, and Sid Barnett.
