Funeral services for Billy Ray Allen will be held Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Grove Cemetery in Sebastopol, MS. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 1 p.m. until service time. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Allen,73, of Walnut Grove, MS died Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Billy Ray was a native and lifelong resident of Scott County and he was a retired poultry farmer in Scott County. Mr. Allen was a member of Cross Roads Church of God in Sebastopol. Survivors include his wife, April Allen; son, Charlie Allen of Walnut Grove; daughters, Joyce Dale and Cindy Rae; step-daughter, Carla Brewer; six grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Lee, Charles and Robert Allen; three nephews and two nieces. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Dot Allen in 2007.
