Services for Billy Joe Ladd will be held Monday, July 16, 2018, at 2 p. m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Brit Cooper and Bro. Robert O’Gwynn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 15, 2018, at McClain-Hays Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Ladd, 83, of Jackson, died Friday, July 13, 2018, at Martha Jo Leslie State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS. He was a native of Neshoba County and longtime resident of Jackson, MS. He was a retired insurance broker. Mr. Ladd was a member of Elton Woods Church of God in Jackson. He formerly served in the U. S. Army and National Guard. Survivors include daughter, Rouchelle (Paul) Duncan of Ridgeland; son, Anthony Ladd of Brandon; grandchildren, Lindsay Johnson, Eric May, Ashlyn McIntyre, Brendan McIntyre, Macy Duncan, Drew Duncan and Andrew Ladd; great-grandchildren, Cruz Johnson, Cash Johnson, Charlie Kate Johnson, Emily Grace May and Addison Claire May; sisters, Sarah Glascoe of Mobile, AL, and Blonzell Brown of Decatur, MS; brother, Sidney Ladd of Flowood, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Ladd was preceded in death by wife, Bobbie Nell Savell Ladd; daughter, Cynthia Ladd; parents, Sidney and Ethell Ladd; siblings, Earnest Ladd, Howard Ladd and Annie Lois Skinner.
