Services for Billy Gene Raleigh will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Hal Hall and Rev. Tim Freeny officiating. Burial will follow in Sandtown Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Saturday, March 2,2019 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home.McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Raleigh, 76, of Philadelphia, Ms., died Wednesday, February 27, 2019. He was a native of Edna, Texas and moved to Mississippi in the early 60’s. He was a resident of the Sandtown Community for the past 13 years.  He was retired from the timber industry . Survivors include his wife, Deen Raleigh of Philadelphia; daughter, Sandy Hergert (Brent) and Lynn Long (Brian) all of Standing Pine; grandchildren, Mallory and Madalyn Long. Preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Ethel Raleigh; brothers, Charlie and Neal Raleigh.
