Billie Barfoot Latting

Billie Barfoot Latting passed away Friday, October 2, 2020, at Atwood Personal Care Home in Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Chandler and Irene Barfoot. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Malcolm Latting and her son Thomas Chandler Blount. She attended the University of Mississippi where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She was the manager here of the Sears Catalog Store for 26 years until they closed all catalog stores. She was a member of the first City Recreational Board that started the municipal playground and baseball fields. She was currently a member of the Historical Board. She and her husband were members of the Mississippi Seniors Golf Association. Her daughter, Marcia Rae Blount of Philadelphia; grandsons, Albert Chandler Moody of Indianapolis, IN, Henry Blount Moody of Denver, CO; and four great-grandchildren, Reagan, Luke, Harrison and Wyatt Moody, are her immediate survivors. A celebration of life service will be held for Billie Ruth in conjunction with the 2021 edition of the Neshoba County Fair.
