Services for Betty May Pinter will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Mike Carr, Rev. Hal Hall and Rev. Rusty Walton officiating. Burial will follow in Wheatfield Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 a. m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Pinter, 81, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a native of Neshoba and longtime resident of the Dixon Community. She retired from Midland Shirt Factory in Union where she worked as a seamstress. Ms. Pinter was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and Ladies Sunday School Class #2. Survivors include three children, Gail P. Alford (Dale), Bobby G. Pinter and Melissa P. Smith (Ronnie), all of Philadelphia; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy May of Gautier, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Ms. Pinter was preceded in death by parents, James Clark May and Annie Mae McBrayer May; son, James Michael Pinter; grandson, Joshua Lane Alford; siblings, J. C. May, Mary M. Buell, Evelyn M. Nicholson and Sarah G. Cherry.
