Services for Betty Jewel Butler will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. from Bloomfield Methodist Church with Bro. Dwight Faulkenbery officiating. Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00 a. m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home until we leave for the church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Butler, 84, of Philadelphia, died Monday, July 6, 2020. A native of Winston County and a resident of Neshoba County for most of her life, she was a graduate of Philadelphia High School and worked in the family owned restaurant, Pop’s Drive Inn, for several years. She worked at U.S. Motors until she retired. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing the card ministry at her church. Mrs. Butler was a member of Cooks Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Gurry of Philadelphia and Lori Williams (Wayne) of Philadelphia; sons, Jimmy Butler of Columbia and Bobby Butler (Denise) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Grant Grantham (Jackie), Autumn Howell (Blake), August Gurry and Molly Butler; great-grandchildren, Ireland Grantham and Rosalee Howell; sister, Mary Ann Mulligan of Philadelphia; brother, Buddy Goodin (Shirley) of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Butler; parents, Pop and Mary Goodin; sisters, Rose Earp and Billie Jones. Pallbearers are Grant Grantham, Blake Howell, Wayne Williams, Kent Winstead, Jim Sisson and James Dill.
