Funeral services for Bernard Killen will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Neil Chadwick and Bro. Phillip Roland officiating and Kolby Sisson with family comments. Burial will follow in New Harmony Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Chapel. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Killen, 82, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023. Bernard was born and raised in Neshoba County, MS and was a graduate of the class of 1959 at Neshoba Central High School. He started his employment with Byars Furniture, then worked for U.S. Motors for 36 years and retired in 2001. He loved to work, take care of his family, talk to people and he never met a stranger. Mr. Killen was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Roma Holley Killen; daughters, Tammy Sisson (Glenn) and Tonya Gentry; grandchildren, Ashley Triplett, Kolby Sisson (Sydney), Kyle, Korey and Krissie Gentry; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Kaden Carter, Bentley and Brady Triplett, Lily, Willow, Carmen and Glory Sisson, Kristina Gentry and Kohen Carter. Mr. Killen was preceded in death by parents, William Clyde Killen and Annie Goldman Killen; infant older brother. Pallbearers are, Kolby Sisson, Korey Gentry, Kyler Carter, Kaden Carter, Bentley Triplett, James “Timmy” Gentry, Randy Chamblee and Dwight Rushing. Honorary Pallbearers are Rodney Goldman, Jim Matheny, Gary Chamblee, Dennis Wilcher, Billy Joe Horn, Carl McMillian, Jimmy Vowell and Brady Triplett.
