Becky Guthans

Services for Becky Guthans will be held Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. from Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Carlisle and Rev. Lawrence Runnels officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at Grace Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Guthans, 69, of Philadelphia, died Monday, August 8, 2022, at her home. She was a native of Neshoba and longtime resident of Bloomo Community. She formerly worked at Nemanco in Philadelphia and the Silver Star Casino as benefits manager. Mrs. Guthans was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, served as WMU director, and was a nursery worker. She loved her Bunko group. Survivors include husband, Danny Guthans of Philadelphia, MS; sons, Jason Pierce (Karen) of Snell, MS, Josh Guthans (Greta) of Gautier, MS; grandchildren, Jake Harrison, Tucker Guthans, Cooper Guthans; sisters, Betty Cumberland (Tracy) of Philadelphia, MS, Belynda Adkins (Larry) of Philadelphia, MS; brothers, Bob Peebles (Sharon) of Newnan, GA, Benny Peebles of Philadelphia, MS; sisters-in-law, Susan Webb (Randy) and Kathy Nuemann; numerous nieces, nephews, and their families; and special friend Peggy Barfoot. Mrs. Guthans was preceded in death by parents, Dick and Sarah Peebles; and in-laws Lloyd and Thelma Guthans.
