Services for Auston Lee Dearing will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018, at 2 p.m. from Bethsaida Baptist Church with Rev. Billy James, Rev. Ben Laird and Rev. Lawrence Runnels officiating. Burial will follow in Bethsaida Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 5 until 8 p. m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Dearing, 95, of Union, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Laird Hospital in Union. He was a native of Neshoba County and longtime resident of the Bethsaida Community. He retired from Cleveland Industries of Union, MS. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served in WWII. Mr. Dearing was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Barbara (Bro. Gene) Higginbotham of House, Judy Winfield of Hickory, Mary (Tim) Grace of Northport, AL, Brenda (Keith) Summerville of Youngstown, FL; three sons, Tommy (Kate) Dearing of Philadelphia, Jerry (Tammye) Dearing of Gulf Shores, AL, David Dearing of Carthage; daughter-in-law, Wanda Dearing of Philadelphia; 16 grandchildren, Chris (Melissa) Higginbotham, Sherrie (Bro. Jay) Murphy, Tanya (Charlie) Mosher, Michael (Alix) Dearing, Paul (Missy) Dearing, Jonathan (Kay) Dearing, Billy (Lori) Fain, Jr., Tina (Doug) Steen, Vikki (Donald) Malbrough, Philip (Susan) Dearing, Bro. Jared (Lauren) Dearing, Brianna Dearing, Daniel (Alisa) Dearing, Jessie Dearing, Rachel Summerville, Kaitlin Summerville; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Dearing was preceded in death by wife, Annie I. Dearing; son, James Clinton Dearing; parents, Rev. Frank and Ola Dearing; sisters, Helen Jackson, Christine Hillman; brothers, Cecil Dearing, Devon Dearing, Perry C. Dearing; daughter-in-law, Kathy Dearing; sons-in-law, Roy Melton and Tommy Winfield; and great-granddaughter, Judith Malbrough.
