Audine Garrard

A graveside service for Audine Garrard will be held Sunday, January 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from Pearl Hill Cemetery with Bro. Dewayne Jones officiating. Visitation will be at McClain-Hays Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Garrard, 87, of Carthage, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Trend Nursing Home. Born and raised in Winston County, she moved to Leake County in 1968. She worked at the pants factory in Carthage for 30-plus years and also worked at a clothing store for several years after retiring from the pants factory. She loved to cook, garden, and spend time with family and friends. Mrs. Garrard was a longtime member of Pearl Hill Baptist Church. She was married to the love of her life for 72 years. Survivors include husband, Alvin Garrard; son, Kenny Garrard (Iris); three grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and their families. Mrs. Garrard was preceded in death by daughter, Darlene McCain; six sisters; and two brothers. Pallbearers are Bubba Quick, Jerry McLemore, Paul McLemore, Todd McLemore, Austin Doggett, and Tommy Watkins.
