Funeral services for Ann Wright will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 at 11 a.m. from Coye Assembly of God Church with Bro. Tim Pace and Bro. Justin Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Coye Assembly Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 5 until 7 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10 a.m. until service time at Coye Assembly of God Church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Wright, 77, of Preston died Thursday, July 25, 2024. Ann was a native of Greenwood, MS and a resident of Kemper County for 50 plus years. She enjoyed doing crafts, decorating (anything that needed it!), sewing, embroidery, cooking and loved entertaining and socializing. She had a passion for making cakes from birthday to wedding cakes and she enjoyed doing it all. Ann especially loved being around her family, children and grandchildren. Ms. Wright was a member of Coye Assembly of God Church where she was very active in it and loved her church family. Survivors include her daughter, Beth McKinnion (Derwin) of Meridian; son, Scott Wright (Andrea) of Meridian; grandchildren, Tabetha LaRosa (Garrett), Alexa Booker (Blake), Natalee and Nylah Wright; great-grandchild, Wyatt LaRosa; sisters, Faye McDonald (Jimmy) of Preston and Jan Long (Lonnie) of Preston; several nieces, nephews and their families. Ms. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Wright; parents, Oscar Fred and Thelma Louise Wyatt. Pallbearers, Garrett LaRosa, Blake Booker, Phillip Wright, Lee McDonald, Stevie McDonald, Stan Copeland, Chad Wright and David Bowling.
