Graveside service for Mr. Alvin A. Garrard will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Pearl Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at McClain-Hays. Bro. David Richardson will officiate. Mr. Alvin A. Garrard, 95, of Carthage died on July 31, 2022. Mr. Alvin was born and raised in Winston County and moved to Leake County in 1968. He was employed for 30 years at the Carthage Corporation. He served in the US Navy. He loved to hunt, fish and woodworking. He was a long time member of Pearl Hill Baptist Church. He was married to the love of his life Audine for 72 years. He is survived by his son, Kenny Garrard (Iris) of Carthage; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his wife, Audine Garrard; daughter, Darlene McCain; 3 sisters and 7 brothers.
