Alta Kate Humphreys

Services for Alta Kate Humphreys will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 11 A.M. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in the House Community of  Neshoba County. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at McClain-Hays.  Mrs. Humphreys, 92, of Philadelphia, MS, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Alden Pointe Assisted Living in Hattiesburg, MS.   She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  Mrs. Humphreys was a former member of Bethel Church of God and Redeemer Baptist. Survivors include her son, Ray (Michelle) Humphreys of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Michael Shawn Humphreys, Michael Chandler (Lindsey) Humphreys, DDS and great-grandson, Bradford Scott Humphreys; sister, Celia Stokes, brothers, John Elliott and Gerald Elliott, all of the House Community in Neshoba County and  a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Earl Humphreys; son, Michael Earl Humphreys; granddaughter, Kelley Elizabeth Humphreys and parents, A.
