Alorine Stuart

Funeral services for Mrs. Alorine Stuart will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 at 12 noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Chris Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, October 10, 2022 from 10 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Stuart, 98, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, October 6, 2022 at J.G. Alexander Nursing Home. Mrs. Alorine was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. She formerly worked as a welder in Mobile Shipyard during WWII and worked as a beautician and also worked at US Motors. She was the last surviving member of her graduating class at County Line High School. Mrs. Stuart was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Mickey (Linda) Johnson of Milton, FL and Phil (Shirley) Johnson of Pasadena, TX; daughter-in-law, Chandra Johnson of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Dean Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Michelle Holman, Mitch Johnson, Judson Johnson, Micah Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Arleete Clark, Clinton, MS; several nieces, nephews, and their families. Mrs. Stuart was preceded in death by her husband, Garvis Stuart; son, Don Johnson; and sister, Myra Thrash. Pallbearers are Jason Thrash, Stan Daniels, Alan Jones, Mike Lewis, Ricky Barfoot and Daniel Ferguson, Danny Joe Thrash.
