Alfred Spears Jr.

Services for Alfred Spears, Jr. will be held Monday, December 9, 2019 from Bethsaida Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m with Rev. Billy James officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Spears, 77, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. Junior Spears was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  He graduated from Neshoba Central High School in 1961, and made the first touchdown for Neshoba Central when they began their football program.  He was also on the Neshoba Central track team.  Mr. Spears was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church in Neshoba County. Survivors include a brother, Billy Spears(Diane) of Philadelphia; and a host of cousins and friends. Mr. Spears was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lerline Spears.
