Gipson, 76, of Carthage, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at his home.   He was a native of Neshoba County and a Texas resident for numerous years.  He moved to Leake County in 2007.  He retired as a maintenance worker from Lubrizol Corp. in Baytown, Texas.   Mr. Gipson was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He was Baptist by faith.  He was member of the Neshoba County Shrine Lodge and Philadelphia Masonic Lodge.   Survivors include daughters, Anna Gipson of Flowood and Lisa Johnson of Sebastopol; son, Jeff Gipson of Madden; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Mary Couch of Martinez, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.   Mr. Gipson was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Grady Gipson; and sisters, Bertha Mae Weaver, Dorothy Gipson, and Merle White.
