CHRIS VOWELL Mr. Franklin, 85, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at MS State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.   He was native and long time resident of Neshoba County.  He formerly worked as a plumber and retired from U.S. Motors in Philadelphia.  Mr. Franklin was a member of New Black Jack Baptist Church.   He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Europe during WWII and was a member of VFW.   Survivors include his wife, Hilda Franklin of Philadelphia; daughters, Kathy Thomas and her husband, James of Philadelphia, Tammy McCoy and her husband, John of Pelham, AL, and Shirley McDaniel and her husband, Scotty of Philadelphia; step-son, Terry Matula and his wife, Stephanie of Austin, TX; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.   Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his father, Mace Franklin; mother, Eva Franklin; sister, Mavis Wigley; and brother, James Franklin.   Pallbearers:  Erik McDaniel, Grant McDaniel, Mark Winstead, Jeremy Nowell, Matthew Arnold, and Terry Matula.
