She was a native of Leake County, where she made her home for the last ten years. Mrs. Carlton was a member of Doty Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Carlton of Carthage; daughter, Lynn Paddie and her husband Joe of Longview, TX; son, Jerry Miller and his wife Michelle of Longview, TX; grandchildren, Evelyn and Josh of Louisville, Billy and Chance of Longview, TX, Taylor of Gulf Shores, AL; Kaleb of Jackson, Bobbie Jo of Henderson, TX; great-grandchild, Billy, Jr.; sisters, Sarah Curtis of Kosciusko, Sandra Hogue of Carthage and Sylvia Lawrence of Kosciusko, several nieces and nephews and many friends, all of whom will miss her greatly.  Mrs. Carlton was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Banes.
