CHRIS VOWELLMrs. Alford 95, of Philadelphia died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was born and reared in Neshoba County and made her home in Philadelphia all of her life.  Mrs. Alford retired from the Philadelphia High School cafeteria after many years.  She was a member of the Beacon Street Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, John Alford and his wife, Carrie Ann and Rev. Mack Alford and his wife, Sherry of Philadelphia; nephew raised as a son, Joe Smith and his wife, Elaine of Lady Lake, FL; grandchildren, Suzanne Breazeale and her husband, Scott, Warren Alford, Amy Adkins and her husband, David, Christy Phillips and her husband, Terry of Philadelphia, Jason Alford and his wife, Rhonda of Vicksburg,  and Jennifer Walker and her husband, Glenn of Macon, Ga.; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Alford was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Alford; parents, John and Sadie Jolly Beason; sisters, Nellie White, Fannie Creekmore, Dora Bozeman and Audie Marshall; brothers, William Beason, Hubert Beason, Rufus Beason, and Ed Beason; and grandchild, Joseph Michael Alford.   Pallbearers:  Herman Alford, Jr, Pat Alford, Lorel Beason, Steve Beason, Harry Carter, Johnny Marshall and Bud Waddell.
