HENDERSON RASBERRYCOMMITTAL SERVICE BY HER GRANDSONS,MICHAEL MANUEL AND JEFF JOHNSTONINTERMENT: EBENEZER CEMETERYMrs. Moore was a lifelong resident of Leake County and had resided in the Ebenezer Community for many years. She was a member of Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church. Joy, better known at "JG",the name given her by her grandchildren was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who worked many years in the sewing industry. She spent the last 13 years of her career teaching vocational education through East Central Community College both at Carthage High School and Philadelphia High School. Family was everything to her, not only her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but her brothers and sister and their families were very important to her. She had a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins with whom she always kept in touch. You could always find her outside, weather permitting, planting and working in her yard and garden. She loved planting and growing things, and her pantry was always full. When winter forced her inside, she loved sewing and quilting. Each child, grandchild, and great-grandchild could always know that she had made them a quilt. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and her many neighbors and friends. Our loss for today is heaven's gain, but we will see you again someday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Moore; son, Presley Moore; great-grandchild, Patrick Michael Farris; brother, Darwin Earl McPhail; and sister, Virginia Dare Rasberry. She is survived by daughters, Elaine Brown and husband, Joe of Pearl and Jackie Manuel and husband, Bobby of Pearl; sons, Paul R. Moore and wife, Mary of Carthage and Phillip R. Moore and wife, Vickie of Carthage; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, John C.
