Sherlon Cumberland

Cumberland, 74, of Preston, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Infinity Hospice in Marion.   He was a native and long time resident of Preston.  He was a retired retail store manager operating stores in Preston and DeKalb. Mr. Cumberland was Protestant by faith.  He served in the Mississippi National Guard for several years.   He was preceded in death by sister, Mae Copeland; and brothers, Brantley, Earl, Jack, Fred, and Buford Cumberland.   Survivors include son, Sherlon Cumberland, Jr. of Meridian; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Clifton of Meridian; brothers, Norman Cumberland of Meridian and Ravon Cumberland of Preston; and a host of nieces, nephews, and their families.
