GENE HIGGINBOTHAM Mrs. Helen Watkins, 72, of Little Rock, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was a native of the Neshoba Community of Neshoba County and had been a resident of the Greenland Community of Newton County most of her life. She formerly worked for Peavey Electronics in Decatur and Midland Shirt Factory in Union. Mrs. Watkins was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Watkins; brothers, James Mott, Harold Mott, and Devon Mott; and sisters, Mary Burnette and Ethelene Mott. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Stewart of Sherman Oaks, CA; son, Scott Watkins of Florence; grandchildren, Jason Reed, Lauren Stewart, Justin Stewart, Chaz Watkins, Adrianna Watkins, and Zac Watkins; great-grandchildren, Madison Dearing and Jackson Dearing; sisters, Hazel Foster of Linwood and Ann Mills of Oxford; brother, Glynn Mott of Sturgis; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
