Bettye Kestler Hemphill

KEN FRENCH Mrs. Bettye Kestler Hemphill, 77, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Hospice in His Hands in Leake County.   She was a native of Jackson and a resident of Greenville from 1958 until 1997 when she moved to the Dixon Community of Neshoba County. Mrs. Hemphill retired from the City of Greenville where she served as assistant to the city engineer.  She attended Second Baptist Church in Greenville where she served as church secretary.  She was a member of Dixon Baptist Church and was a member of Good Sam Camping Club for several years.   Survivors include her husband, Allen Hemphill of Philadelphia; daughter, Debbie Rushing and her husband, Jimmy of Union; son, Al Hemphill and his wife, Dana of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
