"Doc" Fulton, 89, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Woodlawn Personal Care in Newton. He was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia, MS. He had been a resident of Newton, MS for the past four years. He was a retired funeral director/embalmer and worked with McClain-Hays for many years. Mr. Fulton was a member of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia where he was a member of Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. He was an avid fisherman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was a 60 year member of the American Legion. Survivors include his daughter, Kay Lucas and husband, Van of Newton; son, Danny Fulton and wife, Teresa of Bruce; grandchildren, Dr. Al Lucas and wife, Christina of Madison, Leigh Lucas Gilliland and husband, Chad of Memphis, TN, Dr. Jon Lucas and wife, Anne of Nashville, TN, Matt Fulton and wife, Julie of Tupelo and Dan Fulton of Bruce; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Ben, and Laurian Gilliland, Olivia and Jonathan Lucas; several nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Carter Fulton in 2004.
