JOHN STODGHILLFrazier Denson Breazeale, 89, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. Mr. Breazeale was born June 8, 1920, in Neshoba County, MS to Mary Frances (Burks) Breazeale and Samuel Luther Breazeale.  He attended Zion School and received his B.S. in Education from Mississippi State University in 1955.  He served in the US Army Air Corp as a Corporal from 1944 to 1945.  He began a lifelong teaching career at Zion School in 1949 and taught in the Atkinson County, GA school district.  From 1957 until 1965, he was principal at Waynesboro Elementary School in Waynesboro, MS.  From 1965 until retiring in 1982, he taught at Howard II Elementary School in Biloxi, MS. A basketball player in his youth, Mr. Breazeale remained an avid sports fan and delighted in supporting his sons and grandchildren in their athletic endeavors.  He enjoyed traveling and visited all 48 contiguous states in the U.S. with his beloved wife and traveling companions Rebecca Norsworthy and the late John Norsworthy.  His favorite pastime was gardening and his talent for growing tomatoes was greatly admired. Mr. Breazeale was a long-time member of the Wayne County Rescue React and acted as treasurer for many years.  He was appointed to the Pat Harrison Waterway District Board where he served from 1988 to 1992. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Weldon Breazeale, sisters Eula Adcock, Margie Carpenter, Eunice Mayes, and Bertha Breazeale, and great-granddaughter, Kayla Nicole Hughes. Survivors include his devoted wife of 70 years, Max Byars Breazeale of Waynesboro, MS; sons Phillip (Charlotte) Breazeale of Philadelphia, MS, Denver (Peggy) Breazeale of Pascagoula, MS, and Leslie (Cathy) Breazeale of Saucier, MS; a sister, Ruth (Hayes) Burkes of Philadelphia, MS; grandchildren Frank (Amy) Breazeale of Pataskala, OH, Mechelle Kelly of Northport, AL, Cindy (Terry) Watts of Wiggins, MS, Jackson Breazeale of Philadelphia, MS, Lyn (Patrick) Smith of Coker, AL, Brittany Breazeale of Long Beach, MS, Kyle (Lisa) Breazeale of Brookhaven, MS, Ashley (Greg) Hughes of Saucier, MS, and 18 great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Frank Breazeale, Jackson Breazeale, Kyle Breazeale, Terry Watts, Patrick Smith, Greg Hughes, Dustin Watts, and Holden Watts.  Honorary pallbearers are Andy Evans and Arthur Lee Nored. The family requests that memorial contributions be donated to Boys Town, P.O. Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010, or boystown.org.
