FRED BRITTON Mr. Dwight Barrett was a native and long time resident of Neshoba County.  He attended East Central Junior College in Decatur and later graduated from University of Georgia in Athens with a degree in forestry.  He was a retired forester and worked for Weyerhaeuser Co. for many years.  He was a long time member of Miss. Forestry Association and served as past president of Neshoba County Forestry Association.  Mr. Barrett served in the U. S. Army during WWII in Italy and was a member of VFW.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  He was a mason, member of the Neshoba County Shrine Club and member of Royal Order of Jesters.  He was long time board member, former manager and former president of Neshoba County Fair Association.  He was active for many years with Boy Scouts.   Survivors include his wife, Margaret Barrett of Philadelphia; daughter, Renee' Bennett and husband, Mike of Columbus; sons, Chuck Barrett and wife, Linda of Caledonia and Walt Barrett of Meridian; grandchildren, Allison and Claire Barrett; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
