CHARLES ENGELBRECHT, DMIN Mr. Wilber Goodin, 78, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Kemper County.  Mr. Goodin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.  He was a member of Coye Assembly of God Church in Preston.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Parker Goodin in 2000; granddaughter, Laura Ellis; grandsons, Michael Ellis and Chain Pitts; sister, Virginia Tucker; brothers, Benford Goodin, Eugene Goodin and Clarence Goodin.   Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis Counts of Preston; grandson, John Pitts, three great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Picardi of Kittanning, PA, Doris Culberson, Elowease Sullivan and Bobbie Roberson, all of Meridian; brother, Jimmy Goodin of Preston and a host of nieces and nephews.   Pallbearers:  Michael Burnham, Elton Goodin, Danny Shelton, Cody Robertson, Mark Robertson and Jason Adams.
