DENNIS ROBINSON Mrs. Mavis Sims, 82, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Anderson Hospital in Meridian.   She was born and reared in Neshoba County where she made her home all of her life.  Mrs. Sims was a member of New Pleasantdale Baptist Church.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Uriah Sims.   Survivors include daughters, Barbara Chitwood and Patsy Gilmer both of Philadelphia; son, Thurman Glen Sims of Kosciusko; five grandchildren; five great-grandchidlren; and sister, Claudie Mae Drake of Philadelphia.   Pallbearers:  Wayne Spears, Greg Chitwood, John Rodgers, Wayne McCrory, Paul Hopson, Dwight Griffin, Robert Leach, Ricky Griffin, and Jason Smith.
