DWIGHT FLEMING Mrs. Evelyn Darby, 81, of Pearl, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. She was a native of the Burnside community of Neshoba County and a long time resident of Pearl. She was a retired sales clerk from Busicks Dept. Store and Service Drugs in Pearl. Mrs. Darby attended McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl where she was a member of Faith Sunday School Class. Mrs. Darby was preceded in death by her husband, Leander (Lee) Darby in 1988 and a son, Gregory Duett Darby. Survivors include her daughter, Zandra Darby Scott and her husband, Steve R., Sr. of Pearl; son, Mark Timothy Darby and his wife, Brenda of Brandon; grandchildren, Ronny Richard Griffith, Jr. of Pearl, Jennifer Griffith Colson of Brandon, Melissa Griffith Vavrunek of Flowood, Stephen R. Scott, Jr. of Clinton, Jessica Scott Fischer of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Brittany Lee Darby of Brandon; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers: Mack Jones, James Mack Willis, Dee Colson, Ritch Griffith, Stephen Scott, and Vince Vavrunek.
