Walter Creighton

Services for Walter L. Creighton will be held Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in the Stephenstown Community of Neshoba County. Mr. Creighton, 81, of Philadelphia, MS, died Friday, November 6, 2009 at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was a native of Union, MS and a long time resident of the Stephenstown Community. He was a retired mechanic but was currently operating egg laying houses with his wife, Mattie Lou. Mr. Creighton was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of American Legion and VFW. Survivors include his wife, Mattie Lou Creighton; his son, Walter Delane Creighton and his wife, Della, all of Philadelphia and five grandchildren.
