Betty Jean Skinner, 65, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at her residence surrounded by family.Betty Jean Skinner was born in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was married to Johnny Burl Skinner of Meridian where they lived for the majority of her life. They moved to Navarre Beach, Florida where they lived for the past eight years. They recently moved to the Linwood Community in Philadelphia. Betty was a year and a half survivor of cancer. She is survived by her husband, J.B. Skinner; two brothers, Jerry Dodson of Pelahatchie and Travis Dodson of El Dorado, Arkansas; two sons, Charles Flow of Meridian and Johnathan Skinner of Philadelphia; two daughters, Anita Grant of Collinsville and Teresa Steen of Ridgeland; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family would like to say a special thank you to all the friends that called, visited, and kept them in their prayers and also to the staff of Quality Hospice, JoAnn and Rex Rounsaville, Paula Clearman, and Dr. Hilton Fairchild.
