SERVICE:  SAT., OCTOBER 24, 2009          11:00 AM MCCLAIN-HAYS CHAPELVISITATION:  FRI., OCTOBER 23, 2009                      5:00 - 7:00 PMINTERMENT:  OCOBLA CEMETERY     Mr. Henry Rowen, 91, of Meridian, died Thursday, October 22, 2009 in Neshoba County Nursing Home.   He was born and reared in Hampton, Arkansas and lived in El Dorado, Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee for a number of years.  He retired after 31 years with Monsanto Oil Company and moved to Meridian where he made his home.  Mr. Rowen attended Ocobla Baptist Church in Philadelphia.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. serving during W.W.II.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Euna Mae Rowen.   He is survived by three children, Jerry Manning and his wife, Mary Jo of Brandon, Sarah Warren of Philadelphia, and Joyce Knowles of Southaven; six grandchildren, Robby Manning, Ricky Manning, Janet Joiner, Rhonda Drury, Lori Ellingburg, and Joy Knowles; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mamie Brown of Hampton, AR; and brother, H.P. Rowen of Hampton, AR.   Pallbearers are Robby Manning, Ricky Manning, Heath Ellingburg, Brian Joiner, Kenny Drury, Chance Parker, Josh Lewis, and Ben Thames.
