She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and was retired from Midland Shirt Factory in Union. Mrs. Stokes was a member of Southside United Methodist Church in Philadelphia. Survivors include her sister, Maxine Purser of Union; nephews, Jerry, Don and Michael; nieces Debbie, Jean B., Jean G., and Robin; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Stokes was preceded in death by her husband, Blanford Stokes; sisters, Dorothy Bradford, Patsy Libby, and brother Leroy Harris.
