DAVID KELLER Mr. Willie Jim Mitchell , who was named for both of his grandfathers, was born in Kemper County, Mississippi on May 4, 1935; and as he would want it, he died at his home in Kemper County on October 19, 2017 . Willie Jim peacefully left his weary body, to join Mary Lou, his bride of 58 years, in heaven.Survivors include his daughters, Betty Mitchell Cossar (George) of Senatobia and Barbara Mitchell Hilton (Wesley) of Mendenhall; grandchildren, Mary Chandler Cossar, Elizabeth Mitchell Cossar, Ellie Carol Hilton and George Payne Cossar IV; sister, Hallaine Mitchell May of DeKalb; brothers, R.C. Mitchell, Jr. and Waldo Mitchell, both of DeKalb; several nieces, nephews and their families. Papa is also survived by the reasons and inspiration for the legendary, best-gift-to any-child-ever, The Playhouse. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Paula Mae Mitchell; sibling, Barbara Janell Mitchell. The family requests memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
