WITH SERVICE TO FOLLOW MCCLAIN HAYS CHAPEL INTERMENT: CEDARLAWN CEMETERY OFFICIATING:REV. LUKE WAY Robert Joseph Trout, age 52, died October 16, 2017, in Meridian. Funeral services will be held at McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia, MS, on Saturday, October 21, 2017, with visitation beginning at 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. and services to follow in the chapel. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Robert was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Meridian. He was a graduate of R. H. Watkins High School in Laurel, MS, Class of 1983, where he played drums in the band. He graduated with a degree in business from the University of Mississippi in 1988. He was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity at Ole Miss. Robert was a member of Meridian Jaycees.Robert loved his children, Allison Rose Trout and Joseph “Alan” Trout, his Ole Miss Rebels, his dog, Dixie, and his family. He was an avid golfer, being a member of Briarwood Country Club for many years, and was also an accomplished bowler, winning a 300 ring on multiple occasions. Robert worked as a supervisor for Burns & Burns and a salesman for Mitchell Distributing. He was currently a business owner in Meridian.He is survived by his daughter, Allison Rose Trout; his son, Joseph “Alan” Trout; his birth mother, Judy Gray; sisters, Michale Spears (Marty), Melissa Lott (Dee); and brother, Michael Gray (Angie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends, as well as his beloved dog, Dixie. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Roy and Edwina Trout; a brother, Eric Gray; and his nephew, Jarrod Gray.Pallbearers will be Benji Brown, Phillip Culpepper, Bobby Dees, Randy Evans, Woody Reed and Billy Rose. Honorary pallbearers are Ty Hinson, Jon Jackson and Sabe Nicholson.
