MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2017INTERMENT: MISSISSIPPI VETERANS MEMORIAL CEMETERYIN NEWTON MS Mr. Sumpter, 56, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Regency Hospital in Meridian, MS. He was a native of Howard County, Indiana and a graduate of Taylor High School in Kokoma, Indiana. He then joined the U. S. Air Force and retired as a C-5 Galaxy Crew Chief.  After leaving the Air Force, he enrolled and then graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.  He was a Certified Public Accountant for Pearl River Resort, Depot Fun Center and Sudden Services, all in Philadelphia.  Mr. Sumpter was a member of Jerome Christian Church in Greentown, Indiana. Survivors include his  wife of 32 years, Tina Sumpter and his two special  pets, Dallas and Indy; parents, Robert and Susann Sumpter of Greentown, Indiana; brothers Greg (Melody) Sumpter of Greentown, Indiana  and Michael (Rhonda) Sumpter, of Panama City, Florida; one niece and seven nephews.
