BERT JONES John Francis McLain, 92, passed away at his home Sunday, August 13, 2017.  He was a lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  Mr. McLain was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and was stationed in the Philippines during WWII.  He was founder of McLain Plumbing and Electrical Service, Inc., where he remained as its Chief Executive Officer until his death.  Survivors include his three children, Ralph McLain (Judy) of Columbus, MS, Mary Frances Sodders and Kent McLain (Jan), both of Philadelphia;  three sisters, Hilda Tichnell of Foley, AL, Bonnie Turk and Sue Young, both of Philadelphia; and numerous grandchildren and their families. Mr. McLain was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Hardy McLain; son, Ronald “Jim” McLain (Joyce); sister, Helen Kirkland; brother, Bobby McLain; and parents, Alvin and Mary McLain.
