RANDALL DUNAWAYMr. Mowdy, 60, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at his home.He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County.  He was employed as a security guard at Neshoba County General Hospital.  He formerly worked as a truck driver for Sisson Trucking, Gray Brothers Trucking as driver, office and dispatch, and at Neshoba County Jail as Jailer.  Mr. Mowdy was a member of Goodhope Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Mowdy of Philadelphia; daughters, Penny Warren of Philadelphia; Jennifer Gibat of Eldorado, AR, and Tiffany Bishop of Little Rock, MS; grandchildren, Jessica Thornton, Meagan Caldwell, Micah Warren, Jonathan Robinson, Eva Lynn Bishop, and Elana Bishop; great-grandchildren, Aria Thornton, Laila Grace Thornton and Colton Caldwell; sisters, Gwen Ryals, Reba Fryery, Wanda Savell and Susie Strickland, all of Philadelphia; brother, Chris Mowdy of Philadelphia; aunt, Barbara Ann Mowdy of Philadelphia; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.He was preceded in death by his parents, Morrice and Kitty Mowdy.Pallbearers were Jim Sisson, Paul Gibat, Neil Bishop, Ryan Savell, Brandon Caldwell, Coby Clay, Kevin Warren, Delane Rush, Steve Johnson, James Case, Jeremy Fryery and Mike King.
