CHESTER CARLISLEMr. Waddell, 81, of Philadelphia, died Friday, May 12, 2017, at his residence. He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He attended Linwood School and graduated from Philadelphia High School where he was a basketball standout. He had formerly worked at the Ice Plant in Philadelphia, Lewis Grocery Company in Indianola, and retired from Hardin’s Bread Company. Mr. Waddell was a member of Grace Baptist Church and formerly attended Beacon Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Syble Waddell of Philadelphia; daughters, Debra (Ladd) Burgr of Philadelphia, Donna Lou (Jeff) May of Temple, GA and Annie Darline (Thomas) Adams of Oak Ridge, TN; adopted son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe (Tina) Riggs of Morristown, TN; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister; Pat Bradley of Philadelphia, brothers, Willard Waddell of Ocean Springs, Harold Waddell of Philadelphia, Rayburn Waddell of Madison, Johnny Waddell and Bud Waddell, both of Philadelphia; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Waddell was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Callie Waddell; grandsons, Scott Aaron Burgr and James Taylor Adams; brothers, James, Glen and David Waddell. Pallbearers will be Paul Robinson, Asif Zaffar, Latif Zaffar, Lenny Miles, Jeff Boswell, Bill Bradley, Mark May and Sid Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Riggs, Mike May and Vic Jittanoonta
