DANIEL WINSTEADREV. JONATHAN SPEARS Mrs. Adams, 55, of Carthage, died Thursday, April 20, 2017, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was a native and longtime resident of Leake County.  She lived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for three years while she was a teenager during Junior High and early High School.  She graduated from Edinburg High School where she was the Salutatorian.  She was a graduate from East Central Community College and Mississippi State University. Mrs. Adams was a member of New County Baptist Church in Neshoba County. Survivors include her husband, Steve Adams of Carthage; daughter, Marie Ann (Stewart) Hoy, of Decatur, TX; son, Benjamin Lee (Lauren) Adams of Carthage; grandchildren, Lila Ann Hoy, Mabel Ruth Hoy; sister, Linda Joyce (John Paul) Jones of Walnut Grove, Pamela (Clifford) Puckett of DeKalb; brothers, Jonathan (Carrie) Spears of Asia; and several nieces and nephews.
