Doris Mcdonald

Services for Doris McDonald were held Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 1 PM from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Ron Schwake officiating. Burial followed in Coy Methodist Cemetery in Preston. Ms. McDonald, 74, died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at her home. She was a native of the Preston Community of Kemper County. She was a retired LPN having worked at Neshoba General Hospital and Nursing Home, Noxubee General Hospital and Choctaw Residential Center. Ms. McDonald was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by daughters, Tammy Jones and Mary Lynn McDonald; and brother, Lanny Stokes. Survivors include son, Jackie McDonald of Fulton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Pansy Stokes of Hillsboro, Shirley Stokes Swinson of Philadelphia, and Jerry Jarriel of Loxahatchee, FL. Pallbearers were Lloyd Stokes, Danny Luke, Everett Stokes, Joey Copeland, Josh McDonald, Kyle Stokes, and Danny Carrol.
