DAVID RICHARDSON Ms. Arledge, 72, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a native of Huntsville, AL, lived her early years in Guam, and later moved with her family as her dad was stationed at different military bases. She served in the U. S. Army until she was discharged in July, 1964. After her military service, she started working with thoroughbred race horses, where she was a groomer for the triple crown winner, Secretariat. Ms. Arledge later worked at the Pentagon, where she worked on military discharge papers. She moved to Philadelphia in 1979, where she began enjoying her years of retirement. Survivors include her brother, Tommy Arledge of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Peggy Arledge of Carrollton, GA; and nephew, John Anthony Arledge of Carrollton, GA.Ms. Arledge was preceded in death by her parents, Elzey Joe and Lois Lee Mooney Arledge; and brothers, Joe Franklin and Elzey Joe Arledge, Jr.
