Services for Joe C. Fulton were held Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 3 PM from the chapel of McClain-Hays Funeral Home with Father Kenan Ryan officiating. Burial followed in Eastlawn Cemetery. Mr. Fulton, 93, of Laurel, died Friday, August 21, 2009 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. He was a native of Winston County and a graduate of Louisville High School and Mississippi State University. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. On June 5, 1946 he married Angie D’Gerolamo and moved to Philadelphia in 1947 where they lived until 2004. Mr. Fulton worked in the county agent office and later became county agent for Neshoba County, retiring in 1980. He was active in MSU Alumni Association, was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, American Legion, Lions Club, and NARFE. Survivors include his son, Tommy J. Fulton and his wife, Lynette of Laurel; granddaughter, Laurie Stewart and her husband, Daniel of Brandon; great-granddaughter, Maddie Stewart of Brandon; sister-in-law, Madelyn D’Gerolamo of New Orleans, LA; and a number of nieces, nephews, and their families. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie, in 2005.
