CHRIS YOUNGINTERMENT:CEDARLAWN CEMETERYHazel Marie Brown Allen, 95, passed away quietly and peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.Hazel was born to Samuel and Florence Brown on January 13, 1922, in Joppa, Alabama, and grew up in Purvis and Big Level, Mississippi.  Her Parents and twelve siblings preceded her in death, as well as her husband, Richard; son, Gerald Clyde Allen; and grandson, Gerald Tyler Allen.  She is survived by daughters, Jackie Hand and Cindy Allen; sons, Ken, Chris, Robin and Jon Allen (Margaret); twenty grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Hazel loved her FUMC Sunday School class and singing in the choir.  She was active in Scouting, Tree Farming, the Mississippi Forestry Association, Meals On Wheels, camping, hiking, birdwatching, and having a house full of family.  Pallbearers are Shand Kinnard, Roger Kinnard, David Kinnard, Shay Daly, Doug Daly, Cody Allen, Sam Allen, Zach Allen and Eli Allen.
