He was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson and formerly worked in counter sales at Tri-State Electronics. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard. Mr. Alford was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Lynn Hall Alford of Jackson; daughter, Tonya Alford Lotosky and her husband, Jeff of New Jersey; son, Vic Alford and his wife, Shanta of Florida; grandsons, Tanner Alford, Chase Alford and Steven Lotosky; mother-in-law, Sue Hall of Philadelphia; brother-in-law, Gary Hall and his wife, Polly of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Beth Johnson and her husband, Jeff of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Christina Grave and her husband, William of Forest; special nieces and nephews; a group of very special friends; and WoodmenLife family. Mr. Alford was preceded in death his parents, Bill and Abbie Alford; brother, Johnny Alford and sister, Glenda Vaughn.
